Mumbai: Three people were killed and another two injured after a fire broke out in a hotel at Santacruz in Mumbai yesterday. The incident took place this afternoon in Hotel Galaxy located at the western suburban area of the metropolis.
Fire Brigade said the blaze broke out on the third floor of the hotel at around 1pm and gutted the electric wiring, power
installations, air-conditioning, curtains, mattresses, and wood furniture in a couple of rooms and common areas.
Police and local authorities rushed to the spot immediately. Civic authorities said the rescue operations are over and the injured have been admitted to the hospital. Further investigation is underway.
