A tragic incident occurred in Meerut’s Zakir Colony in the Lohiya Nagar area when a three-storey building collapsed, claiming the lives of four people, including a young girl. Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena confirmed the deaths and stated that another child is in critical condition and has been admitted to the hospital. 

Rescue teams, including the NDRF and SDRF, have successfully pulled out 10 people from the debris, including women and children. However, several other family members are still trapped beneath the rubble.

Heavy rain and the large crowd at the site



are hindering the ongoing rescue operations. The authorities are working to clear the area and expedite the rescue process.

A major accident occurred in Meerut's Zakir Colony, where a three-story building near Gali No. 6 collapsed, injuring 10 people. Authorities suspect that 8 to 10 people are still trapped under the debris. Two individuals have been rescued so far, and fire department teams are conducting rescue operations. However, the rescue efforts are being hampered by worsening weather, including light rain and darkness, along with narrow streets preventing larger machinery from accessing the site.
