Three terrorists killed in Sopore

Jammu: Three more terrorists belonging to Pakistan based Lashkar-e- Taiba (LeT) terror outfit were gunned down by the joint team of security forces in the Pethseer area of Sopore on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, security forces also arrested six terrorist associates of the LeT outfit in Pethkote Bandipora. The police teams recovered arms and ammunition including 2 live hand grenades, 2 detonators, 15 AK series rounds, 2 matrix sheets and other materials from the site.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir police five terrorists stand neutralised in the last 24 hours and 10 in the last six days. A total nomber of 107 terrorists have been neutralised during



2021.

According to the police the slain terrorists have been identified as Faisal Fayaz son of Fayaz Ah Thokar resident of Kapren Shopian, Gh Mustafa Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh resident of Tekipura Kupwara and Rameez Ah Ghanie son of Ab Majeed Ghanie resident of Zipor Dharamati, Shopian, affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT (TRF).

As per police records, the killed terrorists were part of groups involved in several terror crime cases including attacks on security establishments and civilian atrocities.

The security forces also recovered arms and ammunition including 01 AK-47 rifle & 02 pistols  from the site of the encounter
