Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rain lashed various districts of Maharashtra. Hails were also observed in Aurangabad, Sangli and in some other districts of the state. But farmers fear that this

premature rain may be harmful for rabi crops.

The Meteorological department has warned of rains in Vidarbha, Marathwada and Kokan regions.
