The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) would take up its Mahbubnagar yatra on July 21 and 22 to study the district’s irrigation projects and to interact with the farmers getting affected due to the projects. The JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram would lead the team to Mahbubnagar.
The leaders would pay tribute to Telangana martyrs at Martyrs memorial at Gun Park at 6 am on Thursday and reach Kodangal at 8.30 am and inspect the Daulatabad pedda cheruvu and then proceed towards the Damaragidda and interact with the farmers.
Later, at 12 noon, the JAC team would visit Narayanpet Jayamma Cheruvu and interact with the farmers and take their details. The JAC team would visit to the Utkur
pedda cheruvu at 2 pm and Maktal, Paanch Dev Pahad at 3 pm and interact with the affected farmers.
The JAC team would have night halt at Mahbubnagar district headquarters on Thursday. On the second day, the team would visit Ellur Reservoir at 8 am and proposed Narlapur reservoir. The JAC team would interact with farmers in Edula near Bandaranipakula, Kounkavalli, Nagapur villages at 11 am.
The team would then proceed to Achampet, Amrabad at 1 pm to interact with farmers in the area. They would also visit the place of proposed reservoir near Pattem at 1 pm. Later, at 5 pm, they would interact with farmers, who are affected because of submergence due to proposed Udampur reservoir.
