The Rose
Valley chit fund scam accused Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyaya was
sent to 14-day judicial custody by a special Central Bureau of Investigation
(CBI) court in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening. He will stay at Jharpada jail
in Bhubaneswar till 25th of this month.
Sudip was produced before the CBI court after his
10 days remand period ended on Thursday. He was arrested by the CBI on 3rd of
this month for his alleged involvement in the Rose Valley Chit fund scam.
The
Central agency during the remand period had interrogated Sudip Bandopadhyay to
find out his alleged links with 17 thousand crore rupees scam.
Sources said, CBI has gathered evidences of
Sudip’s alleged link with the Rose Valley chit fund, the benefits he has
availed from the company and the nexus of other cine stars and politicians to
the group.Another TMC MP Tapas Paul accused in the Rose Valley Chit fund
scam is also now lodged in the same jail at Bhubaneswar.
