Total of 5.5 million homes sanctioned so far under PMAY: Hardeep Puri

Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri yesterday said, a total of 5.5 million homes have been sanctioned so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Minister said, the government has to construct 11 million houses to achieve the target of providing housings to all by 2022.

Mr Singh said, in rural areas, 1.16 core dwelling units have been handed over.
