The traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was restored last night after remaining suspended for the whole day yesterday.  The landslides triggered by incessant rains had forced the closure of  the highway in Udhampur district since morning. The major landslides that had occurred at Kheri and Moud Camp areas were cleared off the road around 8 PM last

night and the road was thrown open for the traffic.

The landslides which occurred at other places along the highway in Ramban district and along the Batote-Kishtwar road have also been cleared.

While the rains lashed the Jammu region, upper reaches have experienced snowfall.
