'It is that time of the year again. The nation is busy celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with full fervour, and Shah Rukh Khan is no different. Recently, the actor took to social media to an adorable picture of his li'l one AbRam praying to Ganpati "Pappa", as the five-year-old calls him.
While fans went gaga over the cute click, some did not take too kindly to Shah Rukh's "highly sinful act of praising an idol". Several commenters questioned whether he was really a Muslim, as well as urged other Muslims to unfollow him.
However, many of his fans rallied behind Shah Rukh and supported his right to celebrate
whatever festival he chooses to. They also cited the fact that Shah Rukh's wife Gauri Khan was Hindu, so it is not a big deal at all for AbRam to worship Ganpati bappa.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh will be seen next on the big screen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, in which he will be seen as a vertically-challenged man. The film, which is slated to hit the theatres on December 21, also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.
Rumour has it that Shah Rukh has also signed the biopic of cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma, tentatively titled Salute. However, there is no official confirmation on the same yet.
