The truckers strike continues for the sixth day today in the six southern states as the talks held by their representatives yesterday failed to resolve the issue. They said, in the talks held in Hyderabad yesterday, differences over the third party insurance premium still prevail, as the insurance firms rejected their
demands.
However, in the talks held in Chennai with the Tamil Nadu transport minister MR Vijayabhaskar yesterday, their demand on relaxing the speed control measures has been acceded to. The truckers said they would extend their strike all over the country if all their demands are not met.
