TruthTell Hackathon Winners Announced

The grand finale of the TruthTell Hackathon concluded yesterday in New Delhi. The top five teams were crowned as winners of the tournament, which is part of the Create in India Challenge of the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit – WAVES 2025. The winners were awarded a cumulative cash prize of 10 lakh rupees along with mentorship opportunities and incubation support from leading tech professionals.

One of the winning team, Unicron, said that they have spent the last four to five months developing an AI model that



has been trained on numerous audio, video and video data sets to instantly spot fake news.

Another winning team, Alchemist, said they are eagerly waiting to be part of the WAVES and showcase the youth and technological strength of the nation to the world.

The solutions of these winners, ranging from AI verification tools to manipulated media detection systems, will now be showcased at the upcoming WAVES Summit in Mumbai between 1st and 4th May.
