The rapid rise in Covid-19 infections, especially in areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), is quite threatening. 

Telangana Health Minister, Eatala Rajender along with senior health officials made a visit to various other hospitals of Hyderabad including Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar, Owaisi Hospital and Research Centre in Santoshnagar, ESI Hospital in Nacharam, Mallareddy Medical College and Mamata Medical College to inspect the facilities and check out necessary availability of infrastructure so to make it a COVID-19 treatment centre.

There are 22 hospitals that are attached to private medical colleges in the State with a capacity of 1,080 beds for coronavirus



patients.

The health officials will provide all necessary safety equipment including PPE kits, N-95 masks and drugs to the health care workers at these private hospitals.

Meanwhile, Eatala, in a bid to motivate people to undergo tests, tweeted a list of centres where free tests are being conducted. 

The list includes King Koti Hopspital, Fever Hospital in Nallakunta, Chest Hospital in Erragadda, Nature Cure Hospital in Ameerpet, Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital in Mehdipatnam, Ayurveda Hospital in Erragadda, Homeopathy Hospital in Ramanthapur, Nizamiya TB Hospital in Charminar, Area Hospital in Kondapur, Area Hospital in Vanasthalipuram and ESI Hospital in Nacharam.
