Visakhapatnam: Two weather systems are likely to cause heavy rain in Rayalaseema and north coastal Andhra regions in the next two days. The rain is likely to continue further depending on the intensity of the second system.

Private weather website Skymet said a cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Thailand has moved over south Andaman Sea and extended up to mid-tropospheric level, tilting south west wards with considerable height. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop over the southeast Bay of Bengal by Tuesday.

It is likely to move west northwest direction and intensify into a depression over Central Bay and adjoining Bay of Bengal around November 16.

Another cyclonic circulation is over the

Southwest Bay of Bengal and extends up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level. Both the weather systems are expected to intensify.

The depression may further intensify into a deep depression and is expected to move along the east coastal areas towards the Gangetic West Bengal and South Bangladesh.

The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and the south coast of Andhra Pradesh will also receive intense rainfall during the next 24 hours. Rains would cover Odisha, north Andhra and parts of West Bengal on November 15 and November 16.

The cyclonic circulation over Southwest Bay of Bengal will also move along the Tamil Nadu coast and may intensify into a well-marked low, the website said.
