Two people killed in accident in Anantapur

Anantapur: Two teenagers were killed in an accident near Akuthotapalli village, 15 km from Anantapur, on Thursday.

According to the police, an auto ferrying passengers to Anantapur from the villages surrounding Anantapur town was hit head on by a truck travelling to Kadiri from Anantapur, killing two youngsters - Vijay (19) and Naresh (16) while



injuring two others.

Both the deceased hailed from Akuthotapalli village and were students studying at Anantapur town. The injured have been treated at Anantapur and discharged.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered and the driver and cleaner of the truck have been taken into custody by the police.
