In Jammu and Kashmir,
two soldiers were killed during a land mine blast in the Kargil sector along
the LoC during a routine patrol duty on Friday. Udhampur based defence

Colonel SD Goswami said, due to the effect of the blast Subedar
Basappa Patil, who was the patrol leader and Sepoy Hasansab Khudavand, the
leading scout, suffered injuries which proved to be fatal. He said, Army paid
homage to the two soldiers, both hailing from Karnataka, at a wreath laying
ceremony held in Leh yesterday.
