Union Cabinet recommends President Rule in Arunachal Pradesh

The Union Cabinet has recommended imposition of President's Rule in Arunachal Pradesh. Talking to a news agency, the Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju yesterday said, the constitutional crisis in the state is the creation of Congress party itself. He said, the six month mandatory period to have an assembly session lapsed on



21st of this month. Mr Rijiju said, the continuation of the government is unconstitutional in the Arunachal Pradesh and therefore President rule has been recommended. Mr Rijiju said, the question of BJP forming the government does not arise at all. He said, it is the MLAs who will decide the future course of action.
