Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya virtually reviewed the preparedness of States for prevention and control of Vector Borne diseases, ahead of the Monsoon Season yesterday. The Chief Minister of Sikkim, Health Ministers from 22 States, Principal Health Secretaries, and MD National Health Mission virtually joined the meeting for prevention and control of vector-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya, and Japanese Encephalitis.

Health Minister focused on optimum utilization of



budget for investing in state health infrastructure and said that the disease burden has been reduced effectively with proactive preparation anticipating the health requirements and making adequate provisions for them ahead of time.

The Ministry of Health advised the involvement of  Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centres for notification of cases, case management, and ensuring community engagement through a Social Mobilization campaign.
