Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda will be on a two-day visit to Bihar from today. Mr. Nadda will inaugurate the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) in the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna. The RIO has been constructed with a cost of around 188 crore rupees, and it will be the biggest eye hospital in Eastern India with a trauma centre facility.
During his visit, the Union Health Minister will also inaugurate government-operated super-speciality hospitals in
Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Darbhanga, and Bhagalpur. He will also lay the foundations of several health centres and medical facilities under the health department.
Mr. Nadda will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, followed by a meeting with the BJP state core committee. It is expected that discussions will be held on the progress of the party’s ongoing membership drive. The Bihar BJP has set a target of making one crore new members in the next two months.
