Union Health Secy Rajesh Bhushan asks states, UTs to ramp up Covid vaccination

New Delhi: Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has asked States and Union Territories to ramp up COVID-19 vaccination under Har Ghar Dastak campaign. He has written to Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary of all States and UTs.  

In his letter, Mr Bhushan has asked all the districts to identify all left-out beneficiaries and mobilize them to get vaccinated on a priority basis. Har Ghar Dastak Campaign was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3rd



of this month to ensure that all eligible adult population is vaccinated at the earliest.

The Union Health Secretary has asked to organize workplace vaccination for targeting people whose second dose is due. He asked districts to appoint ambassadors from the locality to influence people to get vaccinated. Mr Bhushan also directed districts to send messages and voice calls to those who are due for the second dose of vaccine.
