Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates several development projects in Uttarakhand

Haridwar: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the various schemes for development of the Uttarakhand including inauguration of 95 Joint Cooperative Agriculture, 95 Jan Aushadhi Kendras and 95 Jan Suvidha Kendras and computerisation of 670 multipurpose cooperative societies from Rishikul Ground at Haridwar.

 

On this occasion he also honoured farmer Rajesh Sazwan with Sehkari Kisan Gaurav Samman 2023 for doing excellent work in the field of horticulture and agriculture. He also honoured Women Self help group and farmer Bhura Singh under Deen Dayal Yojana.

 

Congratulating the audience on Rama Navami Shri Amit Shah said that the work to computerise 63000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) of the country is in progress. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has first time created independent Cooperative Ministry in 75 years with aim of Sehkari se Samridhi. 

The Minister said that on 30thOctober  2021 the computerisation of PACS was started from Dehradun in Uttarakhand.  It has in record time of 15 months completed computerisation of all the multipurpose Primary



Agricultural Credit Societies.

Shri Amit Shah said that running of Jan Suvidha Kendras will increase the income of cooperative societies. He said that Government has connected various works with Cooperative societies. He said the work of Jal se Nal scheme can be handed over to PACS. The fish market and Dairy will also be linked with PACS. 

He said that government has linked the low land holding farmers with allied businesses like fishery, farming, dairying etc through cooperatives and this way the target to double the income of farmers will be achieved soon.

Earlier Mr Amit Shah attended the 113th Convocation ceremony of Gurukul Kangri University at Haridwar as a chief guest. He was accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami .

Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday inaugurated the newly constructed building of Patanjali Univer0sity.

Yog guru Baba Ramdev had organized Sannyas Diksha Mahotsav in Haridwar on Thursday. On this occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also performed Havan with Baba Ramdev.
