Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the golden jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Congress at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar today.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also participate in the event. Mr Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, will also attend several key events in Gujarat today. This year’s All India Police Science Congress is a milestone event that will discuss the future of Indian policing, global best practices, and technology-led reforms.
Two-day conference will dwell upon issues pertaining to the use of forensics and technology in New Criminal Law, the use of AI in the criminal justice system, the role of police in disaster risk reduction and
the future of blockchain technology in policing.
The conference will also address the challenges in tracing money trail in cyber fraud and strategies to tackle radicalization in prisons. Nearly 250 participants from central and state police forces, forensic experts and academicians are expected to take part in the event.
On the sidelines of the conference, a Police Science Exhibition is also being organised. In the morning, Mr Shah will inaugurate the Gandhinagar Postal Stamp Exhibition Phila Vista at Dandi Kutir in Gandhinagar. In the afternoon, the Minister will inaugurate the Animal feed plant with a capacity of 800 metric tons at Sabar Dairy in Himmatnagar.
