New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah told the Lok Sabha tonight, the Centre has received a detailed report from the Uttar Pradesh Government about the attack on the convoy of the AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. Making a statement in the House tonight about the attack that took place on the 3rd of this month, he urged Mr Owaisi to accept the Centre’s offer of a bullet-proof car with the Z-category security by the CRPF.
Mr Amit Shah said forensic pieces of evidence are being collected from the place in Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh where the attack took place.
He said two people have been arrested by the state police and two illegal pistols have been seized from them along with a car in which the accused have traveled. He informed the House that a case has been registered against the accused.
The Minister Minister said the Hapur district administration was not informed about Mr Owaisi’s programmes in the district in advance. He also said the Delhi and Telangana police have agreed earlier to provide him security, an offer which has been declined by Mr Owaisi.
