Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri visits Aspirational District of Meghalaya

Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas,  Hardeep Singh Puri, visited Ri Bhoi Aspirational District in Meghalaya to review the various developmental initiatives undertaken in the district. His visit focused on assessing progress in five key indicators: health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development, and infrastructure. He also conducted a field inspection of the Pineapple Processing Unit at



Umdihar village in Ri Bhoi District.

The visit commenced with a review meeting on the Aspirational District Programme, held at the Circuit House, Nongpoh, the administrative centre of Ri-Bhoi district. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Shri Abhilash Baranwal, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs), Extra Assistant Commissioners (EACs), and officials from various line departments.
