Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary yesterday inaugurated the renovated administrative building of the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chaudhary said that the National Skill Training Institute has been working in this field for the last six decades and that those trained at this institute secure jobs in both the government and private sectors. Underscoring the crucial role of the state government in skill development, Mr.
Chaudhary highlighted the internship scheme announced in the recent Union Budget and expressed confidence that the trained youth will get opportunities to work with the top 500 companies.
The NSTI also signed various MOUs in the presence of Mr. Jayant Chaudhary. He also visited various departments in the institute and took stock of the work there. Maharashtra’s Minister of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and others were present on the occasion.
