Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu emphasized the government’s focus on irrigation and industrial growth during his visit to Srikakulam yesterday. Speaking to the media, he announced that Phase II of the Vamsadhara Project will be completed by June 2025. This project will provide irrigation and drinking water for the district, he added.
The Union Minister credited Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s recent visit with
speeding up several pending projects. He added that the interlinking of the Vamsadhara and Nagavali rivers will also be completed soon.
The Union minister also announced setting up of a major industrial project near Mulapeta Port with an investment of 20,000 crore rupees. He said that this project is expected to create 20,000 jobs for youth and make Srikakulam a key center for industrial growth.
