Union Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju has stated that the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar memorial being constructed in Mumbai’s Indu Mill is set to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. He was speaking after visiting the project site in Mumbai. He also visited Daulatabad Fort and a house visited by Dr. Ambedkar in 1934. Both these places are of historical importance and related closely to the life of Dr Ambedkar. Mr Rijiju committed to building a prayer hall and library in that
house.
Later, Mr Rijiju visited the Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe memorial in Mumbai and paid tribute to the renowned poet and reformer. He also participated in a programme with Buddhist monks in Dadar today. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked that Bhikkhu Sanghs have the power to bring the philosophy of Bhagwan Buddha to the grassroots level. As the Minister of Minority Affairs, Mr Rijiju expressed his commitment to addressing all the issues faced by the monks.
