Union Minister Kumaraswamy holds post-budget webinar on expanding India’s EV ecosystem

Minister of Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy has chaired a post-budget webinar focussing on expanding and strengthening the electric vehicle ecosystem in New Delhi yesterday. The session underscored the push for greater adoption of e-buses in public transport networks through payment security mechanisms.

Addressing the event, Mr. Kumaraswamy emphasised that the



government is committed to advancing India’s EV ecosystem, fostering local manufacturing, and promoting sustainable growth. Outlining several key initiatives like the PLI and advanced capital goods schemes, the minister said that these efforts will accelerate the country’s journey towards greater self-reliance and enhanced Aatma Nirbharta.
