Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Gurudongmar lake in Sikkim

Gangtok: Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday visited Gurudongmar lake located at an altitude of around 17,800 feet in Sikkim’s Mangan district.

She interacted with army personnel and offered prayers at the holy lake. Later, the Minister inaugurated an SBI ATM at Lachen in the



presence of Sikkim Roads and Bridges Minister, Samdup Lepcha and officials from RBI, SBI, NABARD and district administration. The ATM is aimed at providing banking facilities in Lachen and other border areas. This concluded the Union Minister’s visit to border villages and areas of Sikkim’s Mangan district.
