Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reaches Parliament in green hydrogen-powered car

New Delhi: Union Road, Transport, and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari yesterday came to Parliament in a green hydrogen-powered car. The name of this car is Mirai which means the future in Japanese.

Talking to media, Mr. Gadkari said the green hydrogen which is generated from water has been introduced to make the country



self-reliant. He said this car is a pilot project. The Minister added that the manufacturing of green hydrogen will begin in the country now and the import will be curbed.  He added that the Centre has initiated a three thousand crore rupees mission and soon India will become a county exporting hydrogen.
