Rishikesh: Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel has said that a target has been set to provide tap water to every household by 2022. Union Minister of State laid the foundation stone of Shyampur Drinking Water Scheme to be constructed at a cost of about 9 crores under Jal Jeevan Mission in Shyampur, Rishikesh.
On this occasion, he said that with this drinking water
scheme, the problem of scarcity of water in Rishikesh area will be solved. He said that now the central government is also starting training programs for the maintenance of projects. On this occasion, the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Premchand Agrawal said that through this scheme, pure drinking water would be supplied to the people of the area.
