Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held pre-budget consultations with stakeholders in New Delhi yesterday. During the meeting, Mr Chouhan informed us that the Ministry is doing a meticulous study internally to present proposals to the Finance Ministry regarding the budget. He also said to help the farmers, the government is exploring new ideas like organising Kisan Panchayat in different parts of the country.

Farmers Welfare Ministry, in a statement, said that during the discussions with farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, and other agricultural organisations, including the Farmer Producer Association, important suggestions were given. It also added that the minister has assured them that the ministry will meticulously review the suggestions and will continue to communicate with all the stakeholders related to the agriculture sector.
