Union Minister of State, Information & Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan yesterday visited All India Radio Srinagar and inaugurated the recently renovated Auditorium of the station. The auditorium had got inundated and severely damaged in the 2014 floods.

Addressing the audience present on the occasion,  the Union Minister said that the Auditorium would go a long way in catering to the requirements of All India Radio and Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar in promoting local culture. He also lauded both AIR & DDK



Srinagar for playing their role in countering propaganda initiated by the neighbouring country from across the border.

The Minister also visited the fish farm at Daachigaam National Park in the outskirts of Srinagar city today afternoon. There he distributed work orders among the selected beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Matysa Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) for the construction of Trout Raceways and Carp fish ponds for Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts.
