Lucknow: Addressing the media for the first time after the death of 63 children in Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College in Gorakhpur started drawing criticism from people across the country, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the deaths were not due to shortage of oxygen.
The Chief Minister also urged media to give right facts and figures in Gorakhpur hospital incident.
"Different media outlets have reported a different toll on number of deaths,"



Adityanath said.
He said different figures in different media are just spreading panic among people.
Yogi Adityanath expressed his grief over the loss of lives of children in the incident and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
He said he was the one who started the fight against encephalitis.
The Chief Minister said that a committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, has been constituted to inquire the role of oxygen supplier in the incident.
