The Uttar Pradesh government launched a 155-hour non-stop mega cleanliness campaign yesterday. The drive will end on October 2, coinciding with the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Under the theme “Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata,” the campaign aims to promote hygiene and environmental consciousness across urban areas.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Urban
Development Department to ensure the success of the campaign, as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada.” The 15-day initiative includes theme-based Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities each day, with participation from ministers, public representatives, officials, volunteers, and educational institutions through “shramdaan” (voluntary labour).
