Uttar Pradesh government has launched a unique gift scheme to promote covid vaccination in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to make all preparations to deal with the growing number of Corona infection. On the occasion of World Health Day on 7th April, state government will conduct a lucky draw for those who have taken the vaccine.
Additional chief secretary health Amit Mohan Prasad said that in those districts where more than 25,000 beneficiaries have taken both doses of vaccine they will be eligible for this gift scheme. 4 gifts will be given to the beneficiaries after lucky draw. Where more than 25,000 or more than 50,000 beneficiaries have taken both the doses of vaccines, the number of gifts will be increased to 6 and 8.
State
government is promoting vaccination and has appealed to the citizen who are above 45 years of age to come forward and take the vaccine as it is safe and also provides a shield against the coronavirus.
The state is witnessing unprecedented surge in the number of Corona patients recently. With 31 deaths, highest since October last, a record 4164 active cases were reported across the state in last 24 hours.
Lucknow continued to top the list with a record 1129 cases followed by Varanasi with 453 positive cases. State health department officials claimed that sudden spurt in active cases was due to an increase in number of testing.
A record 1.77 tests were conducted across the state in the last 24 hours.
