Uttar Pradesh government is set to introduce an ordinance to tackle strictly against alleged incidents of spitting and mixing human waste in food. In a high-level meeting led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday, the provisions of the ordinance were discussed. Senior administrative officers of several departments, including Home, Food, and Civil Supplies, as well as Law, were present in the meeting.

As part of the new regulations, all food

establishments will be required to prominently display the names and addresses of their operators and managers. Non-compliance will result in substantial penalties, ensuring accountability within the food industry. The ordinances are expected to impose severe consequences for food tampering, ranging from hefty fines to imprisonment.

These measures come in response to a series of shocking incidents that have ignited public outrage.
