Uttar Pradesh Government will grant lease of land to those farmers who have lost their agricultural land due to erosion in flood affected areas. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted aerial survey of the flood affected districts Pilibhit and Lakhimpur khiri and reviewed the rescue and relief operation on Wednesday. He said that time has come to channelise the current of rivers because they have become shallow. He met with the victims of flood in both

districts. Union Minister and MP from Pilibhit Jitin Prasad also accompanied him.

Many villages in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Kushinagar, Balrampur, Shravasti and Gonda districts have been affected by floods due to widespread rainfall in river catchment areas and the release of dam water. Pilibhit and Lakhimpur districts are most affected and rail and road network has been damaged badly.
