UP Police denies link of alleged terrorist Saifullah with IS

Uttar Pradesh police has said, alleged terrorist Saifullah, killed in an encounter with security forces on the outskirts of Lucknow, was not linked to the Islamic State terror group. Talking to media, Additional Director General (Law and Order) Daljeet Chaudhary also denied reports that Saifullah had received financial support from the terror group. He said, killed and arrested alleged terrorists were mostly self-radicalised and exposed to the Islamic State’s propaganda through social media.

said, bomb-manufacturing equipment, passports, ID cards, arms and ammunition were among the articles recovered from the site of the encounter.Saifullah's father has refused to take his body, saying that a traitor cannot be his son.

Saifullah and the other members of his group are suspected of carrying out an explosion at Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday morning. Six persons have been arrested from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in this connection.
