UP polls: Congress-SP alliance talks hit hurdle on seats

The talks between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party ​to form a pre poll alliance ​hit a roadblock yesterday on the issue of seat sharing. The SP ​declared its candidates, even for seats where the Congress has sitting MLAs



with just three days left for filing nominations for the first phase of polling for 73 seats.

These include Syana and Khurja in Bulandshahr, Mathura and Bilsapur in Rampur, Gangoh and Deoband in Saharanpur​.
