In Uttar Pradesh, devotees have thronged to Devi temples across the state to celebrate the first day of Navratri.

Devotees across the state are chanting mantras to get the blessings of the Shailputri form of goddess Durga today on the first day of Navratri. They are observing fast and performing puja at various Devi temples and also doing kalash sthapna at their homes. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also perform Kalash sthapna at Gorakhnath temple today.

Devotees are reaching in large numbers



at famous Shakti peeths of Vindhyachal and Devi Patan temples to worship the goddess of power and to mark the first day of Navratri.

The guidelines issued by the state government say that while granting permission for the establishment of Durga Puja Pandal and Ramlila stage, care should be taken that public traffic is not affected. The idols should be installed in the traditional but empty space, and there should not be more people than the capacity of the ground.
