Lucknow: Almost all parts of Uttar Pradesh received normal to heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours although the flood situation is under control in the state.
State is experiencing monsoon showers and many parts received rainfall in the last 24 hours. At some places it has been raining continuously for the last 36 hours causing disruption to the local traffic and flooding the streets. Relief commissioner of state Ranveer Prasad said that in the last 24 hours
the State received around 30 mm average rainfall which is 274 percent that the normal rain in this period.
He said that many major rivers like Chambal Sharda ghaghra and quano are running above the danger mark but all the embankments are safe. 152 persons have been rescued by teams of NDRF and SDRF to safe places. 425 boats and 177 medical teams have been pressed into the flood affected areas.
