An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on Richter scale shook northern India on Friday. Yet again tremors were felt in Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand around 04:02 pm today. The epicentre of the earthquake was near Ukhimath - a small town in Rudraprayag district, which is
situated at a distance of 41 km from Rudraprayag. According to reports of Jagran.com, the depth of the quake was 10 km. People rushed out of their homes as soon as they felt the tremors. There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
