In Uttarakhand, the portals of the renowned Sikh pilgrimage site, Hemkund Sahib, located in the Chamoli district, were officially closed for the winter season today, following traditional customs. A large gathering of devotees attended the ceremony. The final Ardas was performed at
noon.
Additionally, the doors of the Laxman Lokpal temple were also closed today for the winter. It may be recalled that the portals of Hemkund Sahib were opened on May 25 of this year, welcoming over 1,85,000 pilgrims throughout the season.
