The expelled AIADMK leader of Tamil Nadu V K Sasikala was released from Parappana Agrahara Central prison in Bengaluru yesterday after completing a four-year sentence in a disproportionate assets case. A team of prison officials visited Sasikala in Victoria hospital to complete formalities related to her



release and hand over her belongings. 

She was admitted to the hospital on January 21 when she was tested positive for COVID-19. Sasikala will continue to be in hospital for another few days till her mandatory quarantine period ends here.
