V Prez Jagdeep Dhankar to address ongoing Budget Session of Mizoram Legislative Assembly on February 26

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar will be addressing the ongoing Budget Session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly on Monday afternoon. He will be the second Vice President to address the Mizoram Assembly after former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu addressed the august House of the Hill State on March 10, 2022.

 

As per scheduled, the Vice President will be delivering the Convocation Address of the 18th Convocation of the Mizoram University in the forenoon session and distribute medals and certificates to those who graduated from the University in the last academic session.

Hectic preparations are in full swings to



welcome the visit of the Vice President in Mizoram. In view of his visit, security has been tightened and traffic management is in place for the smooth flow of traffic. The Vice President will address the Mizoram Assembly and take part in the Convocation ceremony of Mizoram University. 

The Mizoram Assembly has the distinction of being addressed by three Presidents of India - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Ramnath Kovind and Droupadi Murmu. It is significant that the Vice President is to address the Assembly Session which is the first Budget Session of the new ZPM Government”.
