Ahead of the Gujarat assembly elections, former Gujarat CM Shankersinh Vaghela unveiled party symbol for Jan Vikalp Morcha on Wednesday.
'Jan Vikalp Morcha will contest election on tractor symbol of All India Hindustan Congress Party,' said Shankersinh Vaghela in Ahmedabad.
Vaghela said: 'We believe in placing candidates on merits, unlike others who are doing horse-trading.'
He announced that the party will not raise fund from the corporate houses. 'Won't take funds from Ambani and Adani. If our



government is formed, we'll provide Rs 5000 pension to widows, ' said Vaghela.
Last month, Former Congress leader Vaghela joined 'Jan Vikalp', a party formed by his supporters. The forum was launched by his supporters, with hoardings and an online media campaign.
Jan Vikalp was , launched on September 5. The website www.Janvikalp.in states that Gujarat's people want to have options other than the BJP and the Congress. A mobile number, 7878980000, invites people to give a missed call to register.
