Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said changing life styles was one of the root causes of increasing health problems and advised the people to practise yoga and exercise regularly to battle disease.
Inaugurating a medical camp at 'Swarna Bharat Trust', located at Atkur village about 25 kms from here, he also asked the people to follow traditional diets for better health.Naidu appealed to social organisations and trusts to take up the responsibility of providing health services for the poor, particularly in rural areas where there were not enough facilities.
Naidu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision was to set up a medical college in
every district with public-private participation to produce more doctors in the country.
He said the 'Swarna Bharat Trust' has been organising medical camps with support from private medical professionals.The vice president distributed certificates to 43 students who were given computer training by the trust.
Earlier, the vice president was received by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu and some of his cabinet colleagues and senior officials at the Gannavaram airport.
Naidu will inaugurate a convention centre at the Adikavi Nannaya University in Rajamahendravaram on Monday.
