Venkaiah Naidu files nomination papers for vice prez poll

BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday filed his nomination papers for the vice-presidential election.

The BJP Parliamentary board, in a meeting yesterday, picked Naidu for contesting the poll for vice president, the post he is almost certain to



occupy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gave the Information and Broadcasting portfolio to Smriti Irani, and The Urban Development Ministry, which was also being handled by Naidu, has been given to Narendra Singh Tomar.
