Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate a three-day National Children’s Film Festival in Vishakhapatnam beginning today. It is the largest film festival for children in the country giving the audience quality and wholesome entertainment. The aim of the film festival is to expose children to quality cinema and to introduce novel elements beyond films.
The film bonanza for children of Andhra Pradesh will be held at VUDA Children's Theatre jointly
organized by Children's Film Society of India and Andhra Pradesh government. More than 40,000 children from the state are expected to attend screening of 24 films during the festival.
The state government has offered to provide 12 screens in Vishakhapatnam and daily three shows will screened in each theatre.
The opening film will be Shanu - The Optimist, directed by KNT Sastry and produced by CFSI in 2016. The festival will showcase 24 popular CFSI films like Akkineni Kutumba Rao’s Telugu film.
