The very severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy over east central Arabian Sea moved nearly northeastwards with a speed of 13 kilometres per hour during the past six hours and lay centered over the same region about 740 kilometres west of Goa, 750 kilometres west-southwest of Mumbai, 760 kilometres south-southwest of Porbandar and 1,070 kilometres south of Karachi. It would intensify further gradually during the next 36 hours and move nearly north-northeastwards during next 48 hours and north-northwestwards during the subsequent three days.
 
Today, gale wind speed reaching 125 to 135 kilometres per hour gusting to 160 kilometres per hour is likely to prevail over east-central Arabian Sea and adjoining



areas of west-central Arabian Sea and become 145-155 kilometres per hour gusting to 170 kilometres per hour over the region from the night. 
 
Along and off Saurashtra and Kutch coasts, squally wind speed reaching 35 to 45 kilometres per hour and gusting to 55 kilometres per hour is likely to prevail tomorrow. Sea condition is likely to Rough to very rough over areas of south Arabian Sea.
 
IMD has asked for total suspension of fishing operations over east central and adjoining west central Arabian Sea till 13th June and also in north and adjoining central Arabian Sea during 12th to 14th June.
